The incident took place during the singles match between Stefanos Tsitsipas (Team Europe) and Diego Schwartzman (Team World) at the Laver Cup. A man rushed to the court and set his hand on fire. The protest was against the use of private jets in Britain.
Security personnel rushed and dragged the protester out of the court. The police arrested him. After ensuring that the court was not damaged, the match resumed. The protester was wearing a t-shirt that read ‘Stop private jets in the UK’.
