Jagran Team, Ara/Sahar. Bihar Crime News: In Baruhi village of Sahar police station area of ​​Bhojpur district late on Sunday night, the bride’s cousin was shot dead by armed accused in a dispute over playing of caste-based Bhojpuri song during dance at a wedding ceremony.

After the incident, the angry mob caught hold of one of the accused and beat him severely. The injured 40 year old Santosh Ram is the son of lawyer Ram, resident of Baruhi village of Sahar. The bullet hit him in the left thigh. He has been admitted to Sadar Hospital, Arrah for treatment.

FIR lodged against them

The injured Santosh Ram appears to be the bride’s uncle. Here, Suraj Yadav, who was injured by the mob beating, is a native of Agiaon village of Gadhani. Currently lives at his maternal uncle’s house. Had been to jail two years ago also.

Regarding this, an FIR has been lodged against Ghayal named Suraj Kumar, resident of Agiaon, Lalji Yadav, Vicky Yadav and Ramu Kumar, resident of Bajreya Tola of Sahar.

Police have filed an FIR under attempt to murder, Arms Act and SC-AC Act. According to Piro DSP Rahul Singh, apart from the 7.6 country made pistol and two cartridges used in the incident, two shell casings have been recovered from the spot.

The villagers caught the accused and beat him.

As soon as the bullet was fired, the villagers caught hold of the accused Suraj Yadav and beat him severely by kicking and punching him. Police were informed after the incident. As soon as the information was received, Sahar police station incharge Deepak Kumar reached there with the armed forces and took Suraj into custody.

Ara also took him to Sadar Hospital for treatment. The arrested accused is Suraj Kumar alias Suraj Kant, son of Gajendra Yadav, resident of Agiaon village. After the incident, police are conducting raids to arrest other accused.
