86.69 percent students passed, girls outperformed boys

VijayawadaMore than 86 per cent students passed the Class 10 examination in Andhra Pradesh, the results of which were declared on Monday. A total of 86.69 per cent students passed the exam held last month. Out of 6,16,615 regular students who appeared in the examination, 5,34,574 students have passed. Of these, 69.26 percent students passed in first division.

Last year his passing percentage in class 10 exam was 72.26. Education Commissioner Suresh Kumar released the results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) public examinations.

Girls performed better than boys with 89.17 percent. A total of 84.32 percent boys passed the exam. The pass percentage of girls was 4.85 higher than that of boys. The SSC exam was conducted from March 18 to March 30 at 3,473 centers across the state. More than 6.16 lakh students from 11,645 schools appeared in the examination.

Suresh Kumar said 2,803 schools achieved 100 percent pass results. The result of only 17 schools was zero.

Among the 26 districts in the state, Parvatipuram Manyam district stands at number one with 96.37 percent students passing the exam. Kurnool stood last with 62.47 percent results.

In 11 different categories of school management, AP Residential School and AP BC Kalyan Residential School stood first with 98.43 per cent results. The pass percentage in government schools was 74.40.

The passing percentage of private unaided schools was 96.72 percent while the passing percentage of private aided schools was 80.01 percent.

The passing percentage of Telugu medium students was 71.08 percent while the passing percentage of English medium students was 92.32 percent. The Commissioner said that 87.92 per cent students of Urdu medium schools passed the examination. The Minister announced that the advance supplementary examination for the students who failed in the examination will be conducted from May 24 to June 3.
