Punjab News: Terrorists planning to commit major crime in Punjab, security agencies on alert mode

Jagran correspondent, Amritsar. Notorious terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda, based in Pakistan, is planning to carry out a major terrorist incident in Punjab. In collaboration with Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, he is supplying weapons to the state from across the border.

Indian security agencies have also sent inputs regarding this to the Home Ministry. At present, security arrangements have been strengthened in the state regarding the Lok Sabha elections and the anniversary of Operation Blue Star. Companies of paramilitary forces are also deployed.

Rinda is extorting extortion money from gangsters and terrorists living abroad.

A senior Punjab Police official said that terrorist Rinda, sitting in Pakistan, is in touch with many gangsters from Canada, USA, Australia and Malaysia. Through gangsters and terrorists sitting abroad, Rinda is extorting extortion money of Rs 5 crore each from businessmen, doctors and industrialists of the state.

Rinda had demanded extortion money of Rs 5 crore

Apart from supplying weapons, this extortion money is being used to connect unemployed youth with terrorist networks so that the environment of the state can be spoiled. Last Saturday also, Rinda had called the commission agent in Ramdas area and demanded extortion of Rs 5 crore.
