86.69 percent passed in SSC exam, Manyam stood first

Vijayawada: The results of SSC exams were released on Monday, in which 86.69% students passed. 6,16,615 regular candidates appeared in the examination and 534,574 passed. Girls once again outperformed boys and their pass rate was recorded at 89.17%, while 84.32% boys passed the exam.

Around 20,000 teaching and non-teaching staff participated in the evaluation process that began on April 1. The process continued till 8 April, leading to the declaration of results before the last working day of schools (23 April).

School Education Commissioner S Suresh Kumar said that a remarkable 2,803 out of a total of 11,645 schools achieved 100% pass rate, which is 933 more than last year.

Private schools dominate, of which 1,988 have achieved a perfect 100% pass rate, followed by 436 Zilla Parishad schools and 75 KGBVs (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya). Notably, institutions like AP Residential School and AP BC Kalyan Vidyalaya recorded an exceptional pass rate of 98.43%.

While 1,61,881 candidates appeared for the exam in Telugu medium, 71.08% passed it successfully. Of the 4,50,304 students who chose English medium, 92.32% passed.

Suresh Kumar urged parents and teachers to stand by the students who did not pass and encourage them to appear for the advanced supplementary examinations to be held from May 24 to June 3. Candidates willing to apply for the betterment exam are advised to pay the exam fee remittance between 23rd to 30th April.

13 visually impaired students passed the exam without the help of any scribe

At least 13 visually impaired students appeared for the Class 10 SSC exams without the aid of scribes and passed successfully. They wrote exams on specially equipped computers
